ATT Highly Commended at 2026 SHE Awards
ATT ‘Highly Commended’ in Training Provider of the Year category at the Safety & Health Excellence Awards 2026.
The awards took place on the evening of 1 July 2026 at Coventry Building Society Arena, celebrating innovation, achievement and excellence across the health and safety sector. ATT was shortlisted alongside a strong group of training providers, including the British Safety Council and Mentor Training.
The Highly Commended award reflects the growing importance of training that delivers more than awareness. The Training Provider of the Year category recognises outstanding external health and safety training. Entrants were asked to demonstrate positive results, clear differentiation and client testimonials.
ATT’s entry focused on its immersive approach to safety leadership. Rather than relying on rules-based instruction, ATT places participants inside realistic, high-pressure scenarios. Participants experience where everyday decisions can escalate into serious consequences. Through filmed and live drama, facilitated discussion and interactive workshops, participants reflect on their own behaviours. Attendees then leave with practical communication tools that can make a real difference to workplace safety.
The submission highlighted ATT’s work with Southern Water, where more than 2,100 employees have completed the Stop, Think, Safe programme. ATT also highlighted the long-term impact of EPIC, delivered at its London Safety Leadership Centre for Tideway’s £4.3 billion super sewer project. 27,957 workers completed the programme over 10-years, which recorded more than 42 million working hours with zero life-changing injuries.
Devon Smith, Senior Commercial Lead at ATT, attended the ceremony and represented the team at the event. Devon said:

Founded in 2008, ATT has trained more than 150,000 people across high-risk industries and worked with more than 150 organisations. Its programmes combine immersive storytelling, behavioural psychology and practical skills development to support lasting cultural and behavioural change.
This recognition marks another important milestone for ATT as it continues to help organisations create safer workplaces through immersive learning experiences.
