Hornsea Two named highest capacity offshore wind farm in the world by Guinness Book of Records

Active Training Team (ATT) is delighted to celebrate the news that Hornsea 2, built by our partners Ørsted, has being officially named the world’s highest capacity wind farm by the Guinness Book of World Records today, 14 December 2023.

Generating enough power for 1.4 million homes, the 165 turbines became operational on 31 August 2022. Two years earlier, Ørsted launched the £1.4 million Thrive safety leadership centre in Immingham on the Humber. Designed and delivered by Active Training Team (ATT), the one-day interactive, multi-media safety leadership programme was attended by all personnel working on Hornsea Two.

ATT Director, Dermot Kerrigan, commented: ‘We are immensely proud of our partnership with Ørsted. They shared our vision and made the investment to create a ground-breaking safety leadership centre of excellence for the renewables sector and beyond.’
