Thrive

Originally developed as an induction facility for all those contracted to work on Ørsted’s Hornsea offshore windfarm projects, Thrive is now available as a safety leadership training resource to all sectors.

About the day

Set in a fictional UK infrastructure project, the themes and issues raised at Thrive are designed to resonate with any organisation that has office-based support functions and an operational frontline.

Immersive Story: A hard-hitting, multi-media narrative examines the build-up to a fatal incident and its far-reaching consequences. High-quality production values and industry-leading technology deliver a powerful immersive experience — one that makes culture, power dynamics and poor communication undeniably real.

The Unpick: The Unpick is where the emotional impact of the Immersive Story is converted into conscious reflection. Facilitated group discussion creates shared meaning, strengthens personal accountability and encourages collective ownership of safety and behaviour.

Interactive Workshops: Participants step back into the Immersive Story, interact with the characters to understand what was driving their behaviour, and through taught concepts and techniques, steer the story to a better outcome.

Participants leave with practical tools they can apply immediately to improve their day-to-day interactions.

  • Hands down the best Health & Safety course I’ve ever attended. It’s promoted in such an ingenious way, a different way to think about health and safety, the ‘ripple effect’ of a tragedy and how it could so easily be avoided if we just applied a little empathy to our daily routine. I wholeheartedly recommend this to any organisation looking to make Health and Safety impact differently.

  • We are pleased to see other industries utilise this resource which aims to bring about behavioural changes in attitudes towards safety.
