Right From The Start

An award-winning interactive programme for senior leaders and managers that tackles the critical links between safety, quality, leadership and accountability.

Using a powerful blend of film, live action, facilitated discussion and practical workshops, this highly engaging programme creates a participative experience that brings learning to life. Set inside a fictional multinational corporation, the narrative explores the pressures of delay, client expectations and tough decisions. When something has to give—will it be safety or quality or both? Who decides? Who pays the price?

About the programme

Right From the Start challenges participants to think differently about their roles in creating a culture of safety and quality. It explores:

  • The connection between upstream decision-making and downstream outcomes.
  • The behaviours and communication skills that drive effective leadership.
  • The personal and organisational responsibility to “walk the talk” on both safety and quality.

Programme structure

The programme comprises four sessions:

Interactive, Awareness-raising Story

A dynamic, multimedia session designed to provoke reflection and conversation, bringing the subject to life for participants and providing a common starting point for the work that follows.

Practical Safety Leadership workshops

Module 1: Managing Self

Module 1 is a theory-light, practical-heavy workshop that gives participants a safe, engaging space to explore their own attitudes and behaviours around safety.

Module 2: Influencing Others

Module 2 gives participants practical tools and techniques to challenge unsafe behaviours, give feedback that lands, and open up real conversation about safety.

Module 3: Leading Others

Module 3 is a highly interactive half day learning experience for leaders at all levels. Through discussion, reflection and practice, participants build the confidence to lead by example, handle challenging safety conversations, and make informed decisions under pressure.

What participants take away
