Thrive

Multi-media immersive programme at purpose-built centre on the Humber. Wind power-themed scenario developed with Ørsted is relevant to Renewables, Ports and a range of sectors.

Thrive is a one-day interactive, multi-media programme designed to transform behaviours and attitudes to safety.

The programme is delivered at a purpose-built centre close to Immingham Docks on the UK’s East Coast.

Thrive will be used by Ørsted to induct all personnel working on the new Hornsea Two offshore wind farm project. Bespoke versions of Thrive will also be available to any organisation that aims to empower their whole workforce to be safety leaders.

About the Day

Though set in a fictional company, and in a wind power environment, the themes and issues raised at Thrive are designed to resonate within any organisation with both office-based support functions and an operational front-line.

Part 1: A hard-hitting, multi-media scenario examines the build up to a fatal incident on a load-out operation and its consequences. High-quality production values and industry-leading audio-visual technology, deliver a powerful immersive experience for participants.

Part 2: Practical Safety LeadershipTM skills workshop. A theory-light, practical-heavy exploration of the critical role of communication in workplace safety. The workshop gives people a new understanding of their own behaviour and its impact on colleagues, as well as practical communication tools to take back into the workplace.

Feedback

I leave with a feeling that when my team and others have completed this they’re going to feel more empowered, and certainly have a stronger belief in themselves to challenge unsafe acts

Danny Walker, Head of Race Bank Offshore Wind Farm

This programme works because it brings together the best human elements, it’s a mind and heart approach. Thrive changes your perspective and mentality - it’s a lightbulb moment that will keep coming back to participants
