S&C North Alliance 'Step up for Safety' in Manchester

We were recently invited to the the Etihad Stadium, the home of Manchester City’s football ground, to take part in the S&C North Alliance’s Safety Stand Down event ‘Step up for Safety’. The programme was delivered twice a day over a four-day period and covered safety leadership, challenging behaviour and included a dedicated session focusing on mental health.

A broad cross section of S&C North Alliance staff took part in the day, ranging from ground workers through to senior directors, with close to 600 people in attendance.

We presented our award-winning session Right From the Start, which is a 90-minute interactive session that seeks to answer urgent questions about safety, quality, leadership and responsibility.

As well as our session on safety leadership, award-winning comedian John Ryan, who specialises in mental health, performed to the delegates combining his unique style of comedy with practical advice.
